Motorcyclist killed in two-vehicle crash in Mount Isa

A MOTORCYCLIST was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Duchess Road in Mount Isa on Saturday night.

Police said that initial investigations indicated a Toyota Camry and Harley Davidson motorbike were travelling on Duchess Road near the intersection of Twenty Third Avenue when they crashed around 11.30pm.

The motorbike rider, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Camry, a man in his 40s, was uninjured in the crash.

A crime scene has been established and Duchess Road, south of Twenty Third Avenue, has been closed while police investigate.
