Camooweal health team at full strength
The new primary health clinic is running at full capacity.

Walking into the Camooweal Primary Health Clinic (PHC), it’s hard not to be comforted by the positive, cheerful environment.
Staff laugh together, patients greet clinicians like old friends, and there’s a genuine sense of warmth and calm in the air.
After many years operating without a full permanent staff roster, and relying on rotating nurses, clinicians, and health workers, the clinic has reached a major milestone: a compete and consistent team of permanent, dedicated staff.
Thanks to the leadership of newly appointed Director of Nursing for Camooweal, Jason Moloney, and the dedication of the entire team, Camooweal PHC is now operating at full capacity and collaborating more effectively than ever.
“This team is absolutely incredible. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with open arms and felt like part of the team straight away,” Mr Moloney said.
“There was never much need to ‘shake things up’ the clinic already had a strong foundation, with staff who brought such positive energy and diverse strengths.
“A few of the key things I wanted to focus on when I applied for this role was education – giving people the necessary skills to be excellent resources for their environment and community, but also building the team up – building rapport, building strength within so there’s resilience and a joy of work, we come in and support each other.
“We all have different personalities, but we communicate openly, support each other, and work together with a shared goal of providing the best care to our community.
“In a small town like Camooweal, that sense of team work and mutual respect isn’t just important, it’s essential.”
Mr Moloney is a highly qualified health professional with 24 years’ experience as a nurse, 12 of which he has been a nurse practitioner working in Emergency Departments and Primary Health.
