Cloncurry seniors get into the spring carnival spirit
The Cloncurry Shire Council hosted another one of its successful seniors events.

Cloncurry’s senior residents came together on Wednesday morning to celebrate Seniors Month, with this year’s theme “Connect and Celebrate” inspiring a morning of laughter, friendly competition, and community spirit.
As part of the event, prizes were awarded for the annual Stuart McIntosh Memorial Seniors Garden Competition, recognising the dedication and creativity of Cloncurry’s talented gardeners.
Guests also enjoyed some light-hearted fun, joining in on mock gambling across three horse races and one dog race, which saw Mary Bakhash crowned “The Gambler” after taking out an impressive $3.5 million in mock winnings.
