Nominations are open for key events at next week’s Julia Creek Dirt N Dust Festival, with big numbers expected at the rescheduled annual event.

Moved from its April date due to wet weather, the usual events remain on the calendar for the August 29-31 weekend.

The kids adventure run will be held on the Friday afternoon, followed by rodeo events and live music, as well as Australia’s best butts competition.

On Saturday, it’s the adults’ turn for the popular adventure run, followed by the Artesian Express Race Day, which will have six races on the program at McIntyre Park.

More rodeo action will take place on Saturday night, with the winners of Australia’s best butts to be crowned.
