Troy Gallagher might need to build a bigger trophy cabinet after his star sprinter Mr Hanky Panky added another feature race to his collection at the Richmond Bush Sprints on Saturday.

The four-year-old was too good in the $20,000 Merrie Elliott Breeders Cup, winning the 360m sprint in fine style with comeback jockey Michael Chong in the saddle.

Gallagher said there was a big crowd at Richmond and was suprised that “Hank” didn’t reach top billing in the Calcutta, given his record over the last 12 months which has results in wins in just about every corner of North Queensland.

“It’s still just a hobby but if I can make enough to cover the fuel and pay for the jockey then I’m happy,” he said.
