Lake Nash books AFL Mount Isa grand final berth
The Bulldogs proved too strong for the Rhinos on Saturday.

Lake Nash has given itself a chance of winning an elusive AFL Mount Isa premiership after booking its spot in Saturday’s decider with a hard-fought win over the Dajarra Rhinos in the preliminary final.
The Bulldogs have set up a clash with the Buffaloes in the grand final, and despite their underdog status, they will fancy their chances to break a premiership drought.
On Saturday, they were quicker and cleaner than the Rhinos over the four quarters.
Dajarra came out of the blocks strongly, but didn’t cash in on the wind at Legend Oval and found themselves down by three goals at the main break.
The wind got the Rhinos within three points at the final change, but Lake Nash kicked clear to win by 16 points, 14.9 (93) to 12.5 (77).
The Buffaloes will be eyeing a repeat of their major semi-final win over the Bulldogs, where they were able to win comfortably by 51 points.
However, the visitors will be buoyed by the fact they have rolled the reigning premiers twice this season.
In round five, Lake Nash beat the Buffs by eight points, while in round eight, they defeated them by 39 points.
Saturday’s grand final will start at 1pm at Legend Oval.
