Community groups with a vision for a project that delivers a lasting impact are encouraged to apply for up to $30,000 in funding, with applications now open for the Queensland Country Bank’s 2025-26 Good for Good Community Grants.

Since 2005, the program has invested $3 million in funding to support Queensland’s not-for-profits to deliver grassroots projects.

Mount Isa branch manager Jude Enriquez said the grant program had supported some terrific initiatives in the region in the past, and he’d like to see more local organisations apply for a share of the funding pool.

“Queensland Country Bank began as a credit union to service Mount Isa Mines employees, and is deeply committed to supporting regional Queenslanders,” he said.

“Past recipients in our region have included the Mount Isa and District Athletics Club who received over $3000 for gazebos to provide shade, and the Queensland Youth Services who were granted over $28,000 to establish a shed for training and education.”
