Reigning AFL Mount Isa premiers Buffs return in style
The Buffaloes ran over the top of the Tigers at Legend Oval.

Showing no signs of a premiership hangover, Buffs picked up where they left off in Saturday’s AFL Mount Isa season opener, registering a 55-point victory over Tigers in a grand final rematch.
Buffs’ superior numbers swayed the game in the second half as they outran their rivals at Sunset Oval, winning 15.15 (105) to 8.2 (50).
It was followed by a close game between Lake Nash and Dajarra Rhinos, with the visitors producing a big final quarter to win by 17 points.
Scores were locked at the final change, before the Bats clicked into gear to triumph 12.7 (79) to 9.8 (62).
In the women’s match, the Red Dragons toppled the Blue Baddies by 42 points.
This Saturday, Tigers take on the Rhinos at 12.30pm, followed by Lake Nash versus Buffs.
