Despite the one-sided scoreline, there was plenty of action in the Rhinos’ 158-point win over the Tigers.

Showing massive signs of improvement, the Dajarra Rhinos claimed their first scalp of the 2025 AFL Mount Isa season with a huge win over a depleted Tigers side on Saturday afternoon.

The Rhinos, who finished in bottom place last season, put paid to their rivals, winning 30.13 (193) to 5.5 (35) at Legend Oval.

It sets up a tantalising clash with Buffs this Saturday after the reigning premiers maintained its unbeaten run with a 52-point win over the Lake Nash Bulldogs.

In a hot contest, Buffs showed its superior fitness to run over the top of the visitors, winning 11.16 (82) to 4.6 (30).

The Buffs and Rhinos duke it out at 12.30pm this Saturday, with the Tigers and Bulldogs to follow at 2.30pm.
