Mount Isa is gearing up for the city’s biggest annual community celebration, with the 2025 Isa Street Festival to honour the city’s mining history.

The Isa Street Festival will be held on Wednesday, August 6, from 6pm, and will include the Isa Street Parade – which is this year themed “The Last Blast Party” – as well as live music, market stalls, and a sideshow alley with rides and show bags.

There will also be lots of delicious food covering various cuisines from a range of local and visiting food vendors.

There will be more than 40 food and market stalls in total.

To get the party started, local live music will be performed in the Isa Hotel’s beer garden on Rodeo Drive from 4pm.

The Isa Street Parade will kick off at 6pm, with 25 entries registered to take part.

The parade will begin on the Isa Street Bridge, with participants to assemble on Isa Street near George McCoy Park and Splashez.

The parade will travel east along Isa Street, before turning north onto Miles Street and finishing on Miles Street north within the CBD.

Attendees of the Street Festival are encouraged to get behind the theme by wearing orange high-vis clothing and hard hats.

“The Last Blast Party” theme is to commemorate the more than 100 years of copper mining and production in Mount Isa.
